Full Time Rv Living
We started our full time journey back in August 2021 in a Grand Design Solitude fifth wheel, but we recently traded it for a new 2026 Brinkley G3950 toy hauler. We are still loving this lifestyle and constantly finding what works best for us along the way as we truly make it our own.
Embracing full time RV living has allowed us to explore new places, chase different horizons, and make a home wherever we park. Our new toy hauler gives us the perfect blend of comfort and freedom to balance our work, adventures, and everyday life seamlessly. Living on the road continues to teach us to appreciate simplicity, adapt to new environments, and cherish every unique experience that comes our way.
What We Do For Work
We began our journey as work campers, enjoying the chance to explore new places while working on the road. Our first job was in Fort Pierce, Florida, followed by two more in Yemassee, South Carolina. Kristel embraced the role as a solo work camper from start to finish, while Jason joined at both locations for shorter periods.
During this time, Jason found his true passion and became a certified RV technician. Today, our work has evolved into a unique partnership that funds our travel. In the spring and summer, Jason does contracted nationwide roof installations through RV Armor. Once winter hits and we return to the Lowcountry, he shifts his full focus back to our mobile repair and maintenance business, Hitch Itch Mobile RV Tech.
Meanwhile, Kristel focuses heavily on building and managing our travel page content, capturing our daily adventures and sharing real-life RV tips. We love that our careers allow us to keep fellow travelers safe on the road while sharing the reality of this lifestyle.
Where We Are Now
Our journey has taken an exciting new turn. While we love the Lowcountry, our passion for travel called us back to the open road. Over the last few years, that area became a special base for us because our kids live there, and it is where we built a wonderful clientele.
To give us more freedom to explore the country, we have transitioned to a seasonal schedule. We now spend our summers traveling nationwide, chasing new horizons in our Brinkley toy hauler.
This year, we are focusing our travels and work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. When winter comes, we head back to the Lowcountry to block out dedicated time near our family and settle in for the colder months.
